Entry Requirements:
Children who wish to apply for admission to K1 classes in the 2025-2026 school year must be born between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022 (both dated inclusive). For twins or siblings, parents must submit their applications separately.
Collection of Application Forms (No quota):
Application forms could be obtained from our school in person during office hours* or download from our school website (http://tkomkg.edu.hk/) at any time of the year.
* Office hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon)
Return of Application Forms (No set quota):
Completed application forms could be submitted from 26 August 2024 onwards.
Application Methods：
1. Online Application
Parents can visit our school website (http://tkomkg.edu.hk/) and access the “Online Admission Application” system. Please follow the instructions to fill in the application form and upload the following documents:
- A recent photo of the child taken within the last 3 months
- Copy of the child’s birth certificate
- Copy of bank slip for payment of the application fee HK$40, with the child’s name written on it. [For details, please refer to the section “Application Fee” below.]
2. Application in person or by post
Completed application form with the required documents below could be submitted in person during office hours*or by post. (Please affix sufficient stamp to the envelope for mailing the application to avoid the mail going astray.)
- A recent photo of the child taken within the last 3 months
- Copy of the child’s birth certificate
- 3 self-addressed envelopes (9”x4” side opening white envelope and affixed with a HK$2.2 stamp) with the return address and the child’s name written on it
- Application fee HK$40（For application by post, please pay by cheque made payable to “Tseung Kwan O Methodist Kindergarten” with the child’s name written on the back. ）

Application Fee:
Application fee is HK$40 (to be collected together with the application form). The application fee is non-returnable whether the application is successful or not. If applying online, please make payment to the designated bank account below:

Interview Arrangements︰
- Interview will be arranged for all applicants. The order of application will not affect the chances of admission. The interview is scheduled to be held on 16 November 2024 (Saturday). The interview process will take approximately 30 minutes, and the child must be accompanied by one parent. (If extreme weather conditions occur on the day, interview date will be rescheduled.)
- When interviewing Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) children, interpretation and/or translation service will be provided where necessary; or parents and children are allowed to be accompanied by a Chinese speaking relative/friend to facilitate communication. If parents require translation services, please contact the school in advance via email at [email protected] or by phone at 27901790 to make the necessary arrangements.
- Children who apply online will receive a “confirmation email”. Please note the interview date and time in the email and attend the interview as scheduled.
- For children who submit their application forms in person or by post, the interview date and time will be notified separately by post in early November 2024.
Admission Criteria:
- The child’s interview performance
- Child with siblings currently studying in or graduated from our kindergarten
- For applications for whole day class, due priority will be given to families that require such services (such as those with working parents)
Announcement of Admission Results:
Parents will be informed of the K1 admission results before 30 November 2024 by email/by post. If parents do not receive any notification, please contact the kindergarten to inquire about the admission results.
Registration:
Parents of successful applicants should complete the registration procedures for their children from 2 to 4 January 2025 (Centralised Registration Dates) by submitting the original copy of Registration Certificate and paying the HK$970 (half day class) / HK$1570 (whole day class) registration fee.
